Cannot Delete VAF Player Virus- Removal Guide


Recently, many computer users complain that they updated Flash Player, it had a couple of add-ons that came with it, even though they unchecked whatever they had there, it made no difference. They want to remove them, but they were told that they don’t have administrator right to do this, actually, they have! It takes users much time to get rid of them but with no luck. One of the add-ons is VAF Player. Antivirus detects it as virus but cannot remove it completely. And overview all the add-ons, we are highly suggested that users should remove most of the add-ons as soon as possible
VAF Player is a typical malware which cannot be completely uninstalled from Control Panel because it still comes back after delete it with Add&Remove program. There seems to be hidden processes and DLL files of VAF Player preventing from being removed. What would VAF Player bring to your computer? A: Show all hidden files
1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
2. Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.
3. Click on the Control Panel menu option.
4. When the control panel opens click on the Appearance and Personalization link.
5. Under the Folder Options category, click on Show Hidden Files or Folders.
6. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files, folders, or drives.
7. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types.
8. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
9. Press the Apply button and then the OK button.

B: Go to Control Panel and delete VAF Player malware from Add&Remove program
1. Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.
2. Click on the Control Panel menu option.
3. Click on Program
4. Click Add&Remove Program
5. Find VAF Player list and select Remove
6. Press the Apply button and then the OK button.

C: To stop all VAF Player, press CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the Windows Task Manager.Click on the “Processes” tab, search for TR/Agent.5663 then right-click it and select “End Process” key.

D Click “Start” button and selecting “Run.” Type “regedit” into the box and click “OK” to delete all VAF Player registries

E: Remove all VAF Player associated files

Hi,
Thanks for the post. I was able to remove the program source through this pathway: C/windows/installer. After that, I tried to uninstall it through the control panel but it gave me a sign in Spanish that there is no source for the program. Is this enough or I should do something else? because I still can see the program in the program list.

Generally, if you remove the VAF Player from control panel, it will be ok

I cannot remove the VAFPlayer from the control panel, it says that it cannot find the file, the file does not exist, so this is bothering me a lot. Please help. Thanks.

Check your Control Panel.

Same issue. It says the installer.msi is missing & cannot alter the program.
